Purchasing Manager Job Description:

Join a company that follows it´s strengths with all consequences, and introduces systematically innovation processes. In the four more or less independent distribution fields, systems are developed, produced and distributed for parking garage, leisure park installations and stadium systems, signal technology, fare collection and petrol stations. Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

* Negotiate contracts with subcontractors including working with purchasing attorney to develop long term supplier frame contracts
* Manage inquiries, evaluation of vendors and quotes, negotiations, placing of orders, control of administration process (expediting,
complaints, checking invoices)
* Closely coordinate with and support project managers
* Establish contract management system based on existing corporate system
* Products and services to be purchased are among others: Electronic and electromechanical components and devices, Housings for
system components, Subcontracting installation, wiring, maintenance
* Develop competitive and reliable new and alternate sources
* Monitor the quality aspects of the purchasing process with support of corporate QA department
* Closely coordinate with corporate purchasing in Germany
* Occasional national and international travel required
* Work with Government agencies to process and complete projects
* negotiating contacts, reviewing contracts, and following through during all projects to make sure the terms, conditions, and deadlines for the contracts are being met

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

* Proven Schedule Management and Timeline Management skills a must
* Prior experience with an MRP system or adaptable computer skills preferred
* Purchasing experience, or a direct understanding of the purchasing process required
